The Grubstake Inn
This is a photo I took about 20 years ago of a street in Central City Colorado.
It was still a quiet mountain town back then but has since become a busy gambling town with many casinos and has really lost much of its old fashioned charm because of newer buildings and all kinds of modern distractions. Why can't we leave things alone!
I guess I'm just too old fashioned myself. Central City was a busy Gold mining town in the 1960's. The Gold rush started here in 1859 by small groups of men looking for Gold.
Before the gambling businesses moved in, this town looked very much like it did a 100 years earlier. I scanned the original photo and gave it a bit of enhancement.
