This is one of several large old houses that used to serve as housing at Fort Logan, a WWI period Army base.
There are several of these beautiful old buildings there, each in a different design but all are classics.
Fort Logan's roots go back to 1887 as a small Army camp. It was named Fort Logan in 1896 after General John Alexander Logan.
It served as an Army base till 1946 when it was closed. Since then, it has been a home to a VA hospital and state mental health center.
Fort Logan is currently owned by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and these great old buildings are still kept in excellent condition.
Colorado has many styles of architecture but I believe these houses at Fort Logan are unique.
